COMMUNITY RESOURCES

Outreach Support

Freed by God’s grace, called to be the body of Christ, and led by the Holy Spirit, Idlewild extends its hands to all in need and helps build a more just, inclusive, and welcoming community in Memphis and beyond.

As we walk alongside the hungry, the thirsty, the stranger, the naked, the sick, and the prisoner, Idlewild embraces a ministry of outreach that is both consistent and evolving. Through the areas of Compassion and Justice, Children and Families, and Worldwide Missions, Idlewild’s people embody their faith through extravagant generosity.

More than a Meal

Weekly Meal Offering
Thursdays at 4 PM

For those physically and spiritually hungry,
join us at More than a Meal every Thursday evening.
Our time together begins with worship in our Chapel at 4 p.m. followed by a hot meal in Montgomery Hall at 4:30 p.m.
Idlewild’s main entrance is located on Evergreen St.

This relational time together is for all in need of food and a safe space for rest and renewal. Come join us, and be blessed.

“Then Jesus looked up at his disciples and said:
‘Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
‘Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled.
‘Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.’”

– Luke 6:20-21
