Special Events at Idlewild

Jones Scholarship Application

Funded by a generous gift from our former senior minister and his wife, the Paul T. and Anna H. Jones Scholarship is awarded annually according to the following guidelines: first priority is given to members of Idlewild Church who are going to Rhodes College or Louisville Seminary; second priority is given to members of Idlewild going to any other higher education institution; third priority is given to non-members of Idlewild going to Rhodes College or Louisville Seminary.

To apply, write a letter describing your accomplishments/honors during your high school or college career, your involvement at church, and plans for the 2021-22 school year.

1750 Art Show: Meditating on Water

You are invited to participate in this visual forum to explore how we can pray with our hands in wordless response to God's gift of water. Topics could be: living water, baptismal water, water as a metaphor of healing or hope, or biblical story For inspiration, you can listen to the 1750 Arts podcast, "Meditating on Water"

Youth Camp-Pre Registration

Grades 6-12 are invited to join us while we head to Pinecrest to do Montreat at Home from July 27th-30. More details will come, but mark your calendars and secure your spot with a $50 deposit. If you are interested in receiving a scholarship, email jeanene@idlewildchurch.org
