Celtic Knot Print for Sale

Let your family and friends know how much they mean to you by giving a gift in their honor to the Dougbe River Presbyterian School of Liberia. We have the perfect gift options for everyone on your list - from the sports enthusiast to the bibliophile. And their gift will help us bring education and light to the children in the Twarbo region of Liberia. So many smiles on so many faces, in the true spirit of the holidays. All proceeds will benefit UKirk Memphis.

Celtic Knot Print for Sale

You can enjoy the beauty of this creation by Communications Coordinator Zoe Whelan in your own home. This artwork was on the bulletin cover on November 7, 2021. It was inspired by the ties that bind us to one another in the work of the church. All proceeds will benefit UKirk Memphis.

Poinsettia Sale

Poinsettia orders are here! Purchase a flower in honor or in memory of a friend or family member. These flowers will adorn the sanctuary for Christmas. All donors and recipients will be listed in the bulletin for the Christmas service. Orders are due December 12th.

Prepare the Way: Advent Prayer Stations

Winter is especially tough for our friends who are unhoused. Sponsor a Cozy Kit this season and give the gift of warmth to one of our More Than A Meal guests. A kit includes a hat, gloves, socks, hand-warmers, a thermos, and more.

Mini Jammers Basketball

We will continue basketball registration for 4 and 5-year-olds in Realm. The first two weeks beginning January 8th will be working drills and fundamentals. The next few weeks will be learning how to play as a team.

Christmas in the Four Gospel Homes

These groups will begin November 28th and will have options on Wednesdays at noon or Sundays at 5:30 PM. This is a group Advent study over a light meal based on Cynthia Campbell's devotional "Christmas in the Four Gospel Homes." Together, we will participate in a formative discussion around the book's main questions.

No Longer Strangers Coffee Sales

No Longer Strangers is selling delicious coffee! By purchasing this coffee, you are helping provide sustainable wages, environmentally sound growing practices, and help families stay together on their lands in Mexico.

Room in the Inn

Room in the Inn is a hospitality oriented ministry for our unsheltered neighbors. November-April Idlewild will host women on the first and third Thursdays of each month during the nights. We will transport our guests from First United Methodist Church downtown to Idlewild and provide food and a warm and safe place to sleep. The following morning we will transport them back downtown.

Trezevant Bus Volunteers

Many members of our Idlewild family live at Trezevant Manor. We are asking for volunteers to help transport those who want to attend church in-person to and from worship.

Sanctuary Flowers

Sanctuary flowers are given in honor, celebration, or in appreciation of those we love. We appreciate your generosity in providing flowers to adorn our sanctuary for Sunday services.

Nursery & Worship and Wonder Volunteers

Sign up to assist our paid staff in the Nursery with children ages 6 weeks- 2 years. Thank you for the gift of your presence as you care for the youngest in our church family.

Child Liturgists

Sign your child up to be a Sunday liturgist. Once signed up, parents will receive an email of the Prayer of Illumination that will be read that Sunday. You are then invited to join us in the Sanctuary at 10:30 AM before worship to practice.
