June 6 - Kitchen Table Studies begin

Throughout the centuries, believers have asked questions. Well, Jesus asks questions too. In two summer Kitchen Table studies, Questions Jesus Asks, groups will explore some of his questions, like “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord?” and “What do you want me to do for you?” Everyone is welcome in one of these small groups of eight disciples, who together grow their faith through Scripture study around the kitchen table. Choose one of two groups: mornings, June 6-July 25, 9:30-11:30; or evenings, June 6-July 25, 6:00-8:00. Sign up with host/facilitator Mary Lou McCaa, 684-5427 or maryloumccaa@msn.com.

June 2 – Martha Kelly, guest speaker

Making the Art for the Book of Common Worship (T.K. Young Room) On June 2, Martha Kelly will talk about her process of creating block print illustrations for the PCUSA’s Book of Common Worship (April 2018 Westminster John Knox Press). She will walk through a selection of scriptures showing all of creation, not just people, participating in salvation history and show the relevance of these images to our traditions and book of worship. A painter, printmaker, and illustrator, Martha has exhibited in galleries around the Southeast since 1999. SEE ALL SUMMER SPEAKERS.
